What is a ‘Fun Dive’ with Amadive Really Like? A Step-by-Step Journey
You’re a certified diver, excited to explore Con Dao, but you’re still wondering what a typical day of diving actually looks like. We’re pulling back the curtain on a standard “Fun Dive” trip with Amadive, so you know exactly what to expect on your day of ocean adventure.
Our philosophy is simple: Safety, Small Groups, and an Authentic Experience.
- Morning (8:00 AM): Hotel Pickup & Welcome at the Pier Our car will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the pier. Here, the Amadive team will welcome you, introduce you to the boat, and help you with your dive gear, which has been pre-arranged according to your size.
- On the Boat (8:30 AM): The Briefing & Departure As the boat sets off, your Divemaster or Instructor will conduct a detailed briefing. You will learn about:
- The Dive Site: Its name, topography, depth, and the marine life you might see.
- Safety: Safety procedures, hand signals, and the dive plan.
- Buddy Pairing: We will help pair you with a diver of a similar skill level.
- Dive 1 (Approx. 9:30 AM): The First Descent Take a giant stride and immerse yourself in the clear blue water! Your guide will lead your small group (max 4 divers) to explore the beauty of the dive site, pointing out hidden creatures and ensuring everyone is safe and comfortable.
- Surface Interval (Approx. 11:00 AM): Relax & Recharge This is your time to relax on the boat. We serve fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, and water. You can sunbathe on the deck, review your photos, or chat with your new dive buddies.
- Dive 2 (Approx. 12:00 PM): Exploring a New Site We will move to a second dive site with different features to add variety to your experience. After warming up on the first dive, you’ll feel even more confident and relaxed on this one.
- Afternoon (1:30 PM): The Return Journey On the way back, you can fill out your logbook while our team takes care of the equipment. This is a great time to share stories and highlights from your dives.
- Back at the Pier (Approx. 2:00 PM): Farewell The boat docks at the pier. Our car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel, concluding a day full of memorable experiences.
