Let’s clear one thing up: this course isn’t designed to be hard. “Advanced” simply means you will be advancing your experience. There are no long classroom sessions or a stressful final exam. The focus of this course is practical experience through five Adventure Dives.
Your Journey of Exploration: 5 Adventure Dives
The course is structured around five dives, each focusing on a specific skill or type of diving.
2 Mandatory Dives (The Core Skills):
- Deep Adventure Dive: Go beyond the 18-meter limit of your Open Water certification. You’ll learn how to plan and execute dives safely to depths of up to 30 meters (100 feet). This opens up a vast number of new dive sites, where different creatures and underwater landscapes await.
- Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive: Master your compass and natural navigation skills. This skill not only prevents you from getting lost but also builds immense confidence, turning you into a more self-reliant diver and a reliable buddy.
3 Elective Dives (Choose Your Own Adventure):
This is the best part! You get to choose three dives based on your interests and the fantastic conditions in Con Dao & Phu Quoc. Some popular options include:
- Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB): This is the art of effortless diving. You’ll learn to hover weightlessly, conserve air, and glide smoothly like a pro, all while protecting the fragile marine ecosystem.
- Night Dive: Witness the ocean transform as the sun sets. Many marine creatures are nocturnal, offering a completely new and mesmerizing underwater spectacle.
- Fish Identification: Turn your dive into an underwater safari. Learn how to identify the unique species of fish and marine life native to the waters of Con Dao and Phu Quoc.
- Wreck Dive: Explore history hidden beneath the waves (subject to local conditions and dive site availability).
