The Story of the LCM-8 Wreck
The wreck you will explore is an LCM-8 (Landing Craft Mechanized), also known as the “Mike Boat”. This ship sank in a storm while on duty, and today it has become a beautiful artificial reef.
Located at an ideal depth, the LCM-8 wreck is now home to countless marine life. When joining this Wreck Dive in Con Dao, you will witness the magical blend of history and nature.
Wreck Dive Tour Schedule with Con Dao Dive Center Amadive
- 08:30 AM: Con Dao dive center Amadive’s car will pick you up at the hotel in the central area and move to the tourist pier.
- Journey at sea: The boat takes you to the diving site, where the LCM-8 wreck is resting.
- Two (02) exploration dives:
- Dive 1: Wreck Dive! The main dive focuses on exploring the structure of the shipwreck. You will swim around the hull, observe large schools of fish living inside and feel the quiet historical atmosphere.
- Dive 2: We will take you to a natural coral reef nearby so you can compare the diversity of two different ecosystems, completing the diving experience in Con Dao.
- Rest & Relax: Enjoy fresh fruit and cool drinks on board between dives.
- 13:00 PM: The boat returns to the mainland. The car will take you back to the hotel, bringing with you unique memories of the shipwreck dive.
